What Causes Round Areas On Face And Chin?

Hi, my 12 year old developed two small roundish areas that look similar to hickeys one on her face and one on her chin. She was fine when she went to bed. She thinks she may have been leaning her face and chin on her knee, and reading in bed. What might this be. she is otherwise perfectly health. This is the first time its happened.

Hi,

As per your query you have round areas on face and chin which seems to be due to contact dermatitis and you are being exposed and re exposed to the allergen.

I would suggest you to take proper course of antihistamine drug along with short course of oral corticosteroids after proper prescription. Wash face with face wash containing salicylic acid twice a day and apply cream containing azelaic acid. Exfoliate your skin once in a week to remove the dead skin. If condition doesn't get better in a month then consult dermatologist again for proper diagnosis and to rule out any underlying condition. Doctor may prescribe isotretinoin, steroid ointment or antibiotics course.
