Just had gastric bypass surgery. Have pain on right side under rib. Emergency room took CT scan, said all they could find was What looked like a sac filled with fuild. Said body should absorb it and gave me pain meds. That was in Redding where I live in CA. But I had sugery done in San Francisco, November 17th. Should I get a second opinion?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear welcome to HCM
Regarding your experience with pain at your right ribs following a gastric bypass surgery with a fluid filled sac on CT scan I am suggesting that you have developed a space occupying lesion causing pressure symptoms

In view of this please stick to your physician prescription advice to achieve excellent clinical improvement

I hope this helps Regards
