What Causes Regular Sickness?

My son is 27 years old and is sick at least once a week. Sometimes he throws up but he mentions that his stomach feels hard. We have not noticed any patterns with what he eats or drinks. There is no discoloration in is urine or stool. He seems to fight through it and is seemingly better in 3 to 4 hours. Any ideas?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello and thank you for asking HCM,

I understand your concern. Regarding to your sons symptoms and the fact that you have excluded medical reasons for such symptoms, it could be psychosomatic. Which means a physical disease that is thought to be caused, or made worse, by mental factors. Try to talk to your son and discover if he is stressed or has some problems at school or work. Sometimes resolving such problems can lead to total recovery of these symptoms.
If you have difficulty to talk to him, than try to bring him to your GP who will make phyical examination but also talk to your son.

I hope this answer was helpful to you.
