What Causes Reduced Amniotic Fluid During 29 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
hai iam 29 weeks pregnent my baby wt was 750 gm,which the radiologist says it is under weight ...and my amniotic fluid get reduced......gynea advised me to take three argipreg sachets daily and plenty of oral fluids and protein rich diet...iam on insulin as iam gestational diabetic.....and on thyronorm ... can u plz through some information on my condition ...iam worried about my baby.....
Reduced amniotic fluid can happen from high blood pressure and resistance to blood flow through placenta. Kidney or urinary tract anomaly of baby also can cause this. But this will be visible in scanning, so no need to worry of this.
Although dehydration per say is not a cause, this can worsen the situation. The same causes also can cause reduced weight gain for baby. No need to worry, just ensure blood pressure is normal, blood sugar is controlled, take some rest and have enough fluids and a healthy diet. Everything will end up fine.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
