General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
I have read and understood your concern.
Redness on face and arms may be cause by a number skin conditions like
-Skin/soft tissue infection of bacterial or fungal origin
-Sun burns
-Skin irritation/allergy
I will suggest you take him to a Dermatologist for examination.Only a keen examination of the lesions by the Doctor may help to know the possible cause.Your Doctor will judge if there is a need for blood check.
Hope this will help. You may write back if more concerns
Best regards
