What Causes Redness On Cheeks Of Toddler And Vomiting After A Fall?

Hi, my almost 2 year old daughter had a fall in the backyard, neither my mother in law or myself saw her fall but she screamed a lot and after examining her we saw a big red mark high on her cheekbone on the right side of her face....no swelling visible....it took a while to calm her down and she got tired and wanted to fall asleep on my mother in law s lap...she didn t let her though and made her play with the cat. after a little while she had a bit of a throw up after eating some carrot and coconut oil earlier...(she usually doesn t throw up) I must say though that she hasn t been her usual happy self I am pretty sure her second molar tooth is coming through right now as well. She seems to be active and alert and is now eating a bit of cucumber.... should I take her to see a doctor?

Hi,

Yes, it would be a good idea to take your daughter to see a doctor after a fall, especially if she is experiencing vomiting and is not her usual self. The red mark on her cheekbone may be a sign of a bruise, but it's best to have a medical professional assess her condition and determine if any further treatment is needed. Additionally, if her molar tooth is coming through, the doctor can check to make sure there are no complications or infections.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
