What Causes Redness In The Skin On The Left Side Of Nipple Area?

This morning I woke up and noticed a slight pain in a small area on my left breast. Didn t think a whole lot of it at the time. Do not recall if I bumped myself there. Showered this evening and noticed skin on the left side of nipple area is redish. Also feeling a little swelling or bump in that area. I have had fibrosistic (sp?) issues in the past. Last Mamo was negative in September. 52 y/o female. No family history of breast cancers. In menopause.

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello,

It is very important to be seen by your doctor to see the breast closely. Probably an ultrasound is needed because it is safe and fast for an answer. Please discuss with your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
