Back of L hand near wrist, area app 1-1/4 round is slightly red, mild swelling, spot near center app 1/8 is brighter red. Only mildly sore to touch but very sore with movement, especially closing hand or holding anything tight. Seriously sore. Started app. 24 hours ago and came on quickly...no trauma. No fever or other obvious symptoms. Red spot may be unrelated as I sometimes get reddish/dark purple spots on the back of both hands, though it does not really look like those usually look. 65 yo male, mild type 2 (last 3 A1c are 6.0, 6.0, 5.8), spinal stenosis, arthritis (not rheumatoid), that s about it.
