What Causes Redness And Swelling On The Small Finger?

My left pinky, the upper half of the pinky, is red, swollen and itches like crazy , I have a red spot on the inside knuckle, and the skin is pealing. Can this be caused by a cat scratch or bite? Has been bothering me for a few days but the itching seems to be getting worse.

Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HCM
I have read and understood your concern
A cat scratch or a bite may give you such symptoms.Your symptom could as well be caused by a local skin infection by a bacteria or fungi.I will suggest you get an anti-histamine cream like benadryl cream for application. If symptoms persist, you see the Doctor for examination and proper management.
Hope this will help. You may write back if more concerns
Best regards
