What Causes Redness And Pulling Sensation In Eyes?

What could be causing my left eye to feel like its pulling to the left. Both eyes are extremely red, but only the left is pulling and feels like trash in it at times making me want to rub. But no trash is in it. could it be related to sinus infection. Also, this pull started happening around the time my blood pressure was higher than normal. Blood pressure back to norm for past few days though.

Hi,

The redness in your eyes and the pulling sensation you are experiencing may be due to several factors. One possible cause is eye strain, which can result from prolonged use of digital devices, reading in dim light, or performing close work for extended periods. Eye strain can cause eye fatigue, discomfort, and redness.

Another possible cause is allergies, which can cause eye redness, itching, and swelling. Allergies can be triggered by various factors, such as pollen, dust, and pet dander.

Dry eye syndrome is another common cause of eye redness and discomfort, especially in people who spend a lot of time in front of screens or dry environments. This condition occurs when the eyes do not produce enough tears or when the tears evaporate too quickly.

A sinus infection can also cause eye redness and discomfort, as the inflammation and congestion in the sinuses can put pressure on the eyes and affect their functioning.

Regarding your left eye feeling like it's pulling to the left, it could be related to eye muscle strain, a condition that occurs when the muscles that control eye movement become fatigued or overworked. High blood pressure can also contribute to eye problems by affecting the blood vessels in the eye and increasing the risk of eye damage.

It's essential to have an eye exam to determine the cause of your symptoms and get proper treatment. Your eye doctor may recommend artificial tears, eye drops, or other treatments to relieve your symptoms. If the cause of your symptoms is related to an underlying condition like high blood pressure or sinus infection, you may need to treat that condition to resolve your eye problems.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
