What Causes Redness And Itching Sensation On Leg After Using Leg Braces?

My patient is wearing a leather brace (Arizona Brace) but always wears a sock and still complains of a redness on leg where the brace was. States the redness is itchy. I suspect heat but she thinks a reaction to the tanning agents in the leather. I pointed out the leather is not in contact with her skin due to the thick sock. Any thoughts?

I really appreciate your concern, ask the patient to remove every thing and do not use it again it could be contact dermatitis and it can be managed with "Diphenhydramine lotion" try this and no need to worry about this hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
