What Causes Redness And Itching On The Skin?

Hello - like many threads I m seeing, there are several question about how to treat what appears to be a chemical burn as a result of using a Just for Men beard coloring product. Like the others, I have redness, blisters, weeping skin, itching and burning. About 3 years ago, the same thing happened but symptoms were a lot more minor. I happened to be in the hospital for my son s delivery. Our pediatrician stopped in and took a sample and it turned out to be Impentigo which was likely a secondary infection. My doctor prescribed Mupiprocin and the infection vanished in a few days. I used the Just For Men product on Sunday morning and woke up Monday morning with the symptoms. Should I use the prescription for treatment or is it useless at this point?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms are more likely suggest the possibility of eczema or dermatitis. As a first line management you can apply low potency steroids like Betamethasone for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
