What Causes Redness And Burning Sensation In The Ears?

I have a burning sensation in both ears. Both have redness and what looks like blisters in the canal. The left canal is swollen so that the canal is half the size of the right. I don the swim but I have diabetes. My Dr told me today they are normal. He gave prescribed Neomycin-Polymyxin-HC. But I managed still worried with the diabetes. I have video I took with optical scope.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Uncontrolled diabetes cab cause dryness of ear canal causing itching, redness, blisters. Secondary infection can increase the symptoms. Antibiotics used locally would help. You may need oral medicine , but good blood sugar control is a must. Consult your diabetologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
