What Causes Redness Along With Blotchy Skin On Arms?
my arms are red, blotchy, and are a little warm. its only my arms, from just below the shoulder down to the mid forearm. ive also found out that they sting a little. especially when i try to cool them down with colder water. this has happened before, i took some benedril, and it went away eventually. but this is my second time, and i took benedril again but nothing much has changed. i haven t used any different detergents/perfumes or anything. just a little confused on what this is and wondering how i could treat it in a more helpful way? maybe a tip to cool it down without stinging? thank you x

Hello,
This is either allergic or irritant contact dermatitis. The following are treatment options I recommend:
1) Tab. Benadryl daily twice for 3 days.
2) Apply 1% Hydrocortisone cream on the rash.
3) Calamine lotion is to be applied on the rash to decrease stinging sensation
4) Ice packs can be applied if burning sensation is severe.
If your symptoms don't come down even after 3 days, you need to consult a dermatologist.
