What Causes Red Welts On Buttocks?

I have large red welts on my butt. They seemed to appear after working for many hours outside in direct sunlight. I actually thought they may have been just from the metal of the tractor rubbing against my shorts, therefore creating friction and rubbing my skin raw. But then they got really big and itchy. Any ideas? Could it be a severe form of heat rash?

Hi
I have gone through your complaints and according to me this seems to be related to continuous friction and heat in that area due to working on the tractor.
Apply topical steroid like cortisone cream on the affected areas twice daily and take antihistaminic like tablet Cetrizine 10 mg once or twice daily depending on the intensity of itching.
Regards
