Hello Thank You for contacting HCM. This could be Acute Tonsilitis. When tonsils are enlarged they cause pressure effects as well. So simple antibiotic therapy and general care will cure this. Secondly, it is not mandatory that pressure effect is always caused by cancer. You should absolutely not jump to this conclusion. Cancer has many other symptoms even those are not authentic till you get a confirmed biopsy report.
