What Causes Red Sores On The Shaft Of Penis?

Hi, My partner has found 3 open red soars on the shaft of his penis. 2 are open and one has started to scab and they are not causing pain. I m pretty sure its not genital herpes as they do not look like blisters and it started about a week ago. Obviously were both a bit nervous. Any thoughts?

I really appreciate your concern, if this is not the herpes then it could be simple boil and infection need to be ruled out if this filled with pus and if it not septic one then it will be fine soon, just care need to be taken for cleanness, at the most "Povidone Iodine" cream can be tried. hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
