my husband has cancer of the hypophagnx and is the 3rd week of chemo and radiation. Tonight he started having chills and shaking and said he was cold. I took his temperature and it was 103. he had a feeding tube put in last week and is not able to swallow food or pills , only a little water because of all the phlgm that he coughs up coming from the tumor. I finally got him to sit up so that I could give him some liquid tylenol thru his feeding tube when I noticed a moddled looking red rash all over his stomach and back. I took his tempature again and it was 104. after about a half an hour it has come back down to 102.9. What does a fever and a rash mean in his situation?
