What Causes Red Rashes On Body Post Exposure To Antiseptic Liquid?

I had a bath with dettol in. I've done this in the past and it never caused me any problems. This time it gave me rash. Red patches on my legs and waist. The water in the bath was relatively hot. Should I be concerned? I was planing to get some aloe Vera and apply on the rash. Is that a good idea?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that there is dual injury to the skin leading to inflammation and red rashes.
There has been burning with chemical component that is dettol and other is heat injury with very hot water..
I would suggest you to do cool compresses over the rashes..
You can apply Steroid ointment over the scalp..
Take anti allergics like Benadryl..
You can also avoid scratching the rashes to prevent infection and exaggeration of infection..
In case of no resolution in 3 to 4 days consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
