What Causes Red Rashes On Back And Legs In A Diabetic Patient?

My 57 year old insulin dependent daughter has a rough, red rash all over her back, legs, front of body! Has had a one form or another vaginitis for over period of 3 months now! Has been medicated with first mess. For bacteria and then yeast infections? Any suggestions?

Hello,

I can understand your concern. Suffering from red rashes on body, especially legs is a very frequent problem diabetics suffer from. It should not be ignored.

Presence of these rashes indicate that the diabetes in not under control and dose adjustment of insulin is required. My advice to you is to visit the treating doctor and ask for blood tests to determine sugar level and adjust the dose of insulin according to that.

I hope this solves your query. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish your daughter feels better soon!

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
