What Causes Red Rashes Around The Nipple After A Lumpectomy?

I had a lumpectomy May 3rd. Stage 1 with one lymph node removed (no cancer in node). The surgical sites are fine. There was an angry looking red area near the nipple, possibly from the radioactive dye? This past Tuesday I noticed that my entire breast looked pink. I took my temp and it was ok and there were no lines from surgical sites. The next day I had a follow-up appointment and breast was red and hot. I was put on an antibiotic, 4 times a day. I ve been on the antibiotic 3 full days. My breast is still pink, hot and tender. Shouldn t it be getting better?
