What Causes Red Patch On The Bridge Of Nose?

Hi there my boyfriend gets a red mark, which looks like a blood bruise, on the bridge of his nose between his eyes when he gets hot, like after sunbathing or after being in a hot bath. It takes a few days to go down. Do you know what this is from and why it comes up only when he is hot?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have red patch on the bridge of nose, well it can cause by acne which is basically formed due to clogged pores of sebaceous glands , dead skin , sebum and bacteria get trapped in it. It can also occur die to clot from injury , sun burn or post inflammatory hyper pigmentation .I would suggest you to use product containing benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid for acne or cream containing isoteritenoin. For red marks aloe vera is very effective natural product also use azelaic acid cream. If condition persist for more then a month then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics course for acne , retinoid , corticosteroid ointment and procedure like micro needling, collagen induce therapy or chemical peeling for acne marks. Also apply cold compresses on it and protect it from direct sun light , apply broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30.
