What Causes Red Itchy Spots Around Front Of Waist Line And Armpits?
Hi I have red itchy spots (around 15 of them) around the front of my waistline ad they appeared yesterday and have been slowly increasing in number. I now also have some in my armpits. I feel fine and the spots are individual and in small groups, and they do not have a head. Any idea what this could be? SB
Hi, The lesions you have is of sudden onset. Probably you may be having prurigo simplex or lichen urticatus. Former condition may be caused by some irritants or allergens. And later one is the hypersensitivity to insects like bedbug, flea, mosquito or some other insects. But any ways, treatment may be similar. However, you consult dermatolgist for firm diagnosis. I advise in my patients.. Antihistaminics like levocetirizine, steroids in tappering dose, short course of antibiotics. Local application of mild steroid cream might be helpful. I hope you got my answer.
Thanks.
