A week ago I went on a camping trip. I applied insect repellent, but the next day I woke up with several bites on my arms, hands and a lot more in the thigh and leg areas (where I didn t bother with repellent because I was wearing pants). The camp site was heavily roames by mosquitos. At first the bites were small points. The itching kicked up the next day, with the itch located around the area surrounding the bites. I did my best not to scratch, but still ended up scratchin at night when I would be awakened by the itch. I applied triple antibiotic ointment and even an anti-itch cream in hopes that it would help, with no effect. I have also taken Benadryl and nothing. My worry now is that all of the bites are red and tender, some have/feel like lumps on the skin and one bite in particular has a bruise that seems to be circling the bite area. Any advise on what I can do is appreciated.
