What Causes Red Colored Rash Around Mouth?
I have severely dry red rash around mouth. No bumps, just inflamed and dry/tight like a severe sunburn. Has turned to flaky/extremely red. I have tried steroid cream and cortisone which makes it worse. its sometimes itchy but mostly burns, and inflamed like hives.

Understanding your concern.
inflamed dry red rashes around your mouth as you described are most probably the symptoms of perioral dermatitis .It mainly occur around mouth but may occur on lower surface of nose as well .
It could be caused by use of oral contraceptives , beauty creams containing steroid contents , fluorinated tooth paste and mainly triggered by use topical steroids .
Now as you have already used steroid cream and cortisone. Thats the reason they exaggerated your condition , so i would suggest you to stop use of steroid cream and cortisone topically.
You will get relief within 2-3 days .what you can do is to wash your face with mild soap twice a day , use oral antibiotics and immunosuppresants .
if symptoms doesn't rlief after 2 , 3 days then consult the dermatologist .
