What Causes Red Bumps On The Cheek?

my 2year old has red bumps I have seen this for about a week. They are small red bumps on her cheek and starting to spread to her lip making it swell up and her chin.. I took her to her pediatrician who was stumped and came up with a herpetic infection.. I am disgusted and want a second opinion.. What could it possibly be?? I don t knew how age could have gotten in contact with a firm if heroes for this to happen

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi....usually skin conditions are best diagnosed and managed only after seeing the skin lesions. So I suggest you upload the images or photograph of the kid with the skin lesions here on this website. This will help us guide you in more scientific way.
But by what you quote it could be a pyoderma or skin and soft tissue infection or as your pediatrician told, herpes.
Please upload the images.
