What Causes Red Bump On Penis Head?

Hi, I am a 22 yr male, I haven t had sexual relations in a while, never had anything abnormal happen on my genital area but I ve masturbated a couple times this week and I notice a small red bump on my penis head that burn/was sensitive, I didn t pay much attention but now I have like 20 tiny red bumps on front side of penis head and they burn, they appeared out of nowhere, after I masturbated lastnight I didn t wash up, could it be that. I did have unprotected sex once but that was like years ago and never had anything happen that one time. I m scared that maybe that one time I caught an std and it s bearly coming up.

Hello,

You are suffering from small red bump on the penis head, you also have 20 tiny red bumps on the front of penis head. You have history of having unprotected sex. Bumps on the head of the penis are fairly common. You should clean yourself with water, not just wipe and leave it after masturbation or any other sexual activity.

It can be due to tyson glands that are tiny sebaceous glands that form on either side of the frenulum, it is harmless. Sometimes, it can be pearly penile papules that form around the head of the penis or just under it. It is harmless. Removal is not recommended unless you’re experiencing severe concern or embarrassment over the appearance of the papules.

Treatment options include cryosurgery or laser therapy. Do take care of your hygiene. You should get clinically examine by an a Urologist and get STD tests done as you have history of having unprotected sex. If report is found to be positive you will be treated with antivirals and antibiotics.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
