What Causes Red Blotches On Body?

I have been getting red blotches on my skin on random parts of my body when pressed for a while. For example, when I sit with my legs underneath me, the parts that were pressured the most will become reddened. This lasts for a few minutes, and has been happening for a few days. I am a smoker, if that could be of influence. What could be happening?

Hi.
As per your case history you have been suffering from pressure urticaria. My treatment advice is -
1. Avoid certain allergic food like food with artificial colours and preservatives and dairy products.
2. It is most commonly associated with thyroid dysfunction. So if there is family history of thyroid dysfunction then get it checked.
3. For treatment take tab. Levocetrizine 5mg twice daily for 20 days.
4. Other treatment options include oral steroids, colchicine, low dose beta blockers. For further treatment consult a dermatologist.

Thanks
