What Causes Red Blister-like Itchy Bumps On Face After Taking Alcohol Beverage?
I have rosacea. On Saturday I drank one alcoholic beverage and my face turned BRIGHT red all over. Way worse than ever before. the next day I had red bumps that turned itchy and blister-like. I am using my face wash and Rx cream, but it does not seem to be improving. It looks kind of like fever blisters but none on my mouth or lips.

As per your query you are suffering form a disease called rosacea and you had rashes and blisters on face after having alcohol . Well rosacea is a common skin condition that causes redness in your face and often produces small, red, pus-filled bumps. Rosacea is a relapsing condition, which means there are periods when symptoms are particularly bad, followed by periods when the condition is less severe. It is very well known that this disease get exagerrated by taking alcohol and caffeinated products . So in your case also the symptoms are due to exaggeration of your condition due to alcohol . I would suggest you to completely avoid alcohol , apply broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 , avoid touching blisters and rashes take benadryl and wash your face with cold water . Consult dermatologist for proper evaluation of the condition . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( topical or oral ) along with ointments like isotritenoin .
