What Causes Recurring Yeast Infection Despite Taking Treatment?

I went to the doctor and told the doctor I think I had a yeast infection. I been having cottage cheese discharge for 2 weeks. She gave me a one time pill to take it was gone for a week and then came back. I called the doctor and she's prescribed me another one day pill. It was gone for a week and now it is back. Is it a yeast infection? What do I do?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have recurring yeast infection despite taking treatment . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like abnormal hormone balance
, frequent antibiotic use , uncontrolled diabetes mellitus , weak immune system , obesity and clothing that is tightfitting and synthetic . I would suggest you to take healthy diet like fresh fruits and vegetables to boast immunity and also take multivitamin supplements for the same reason . Wear loose cloths and avoid antibiotics as much as your can and on experts advice . Consult dermatologist for proper checkup and to find out exact cause .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
