What Causes Recurring Sores On Inside Of Mouth, Tongue And Lips?

I am having recurring sores inside my mouth, on the left side of my tongue and left side of my lips and inner cheeks. Although I consulted my doctor, he didn t see anything and just asked me to watch my diet. As the soreness has become frequent now, I am worried. Could you advise if this is a known condition or should I get any tests conducted? Many thanks.

Hi,

After reading your post, I would suggest that you should get yourself clinically evaluated by an oral hygienist. You should include vitamin B and Zinc supplements. Locally apply oral Choline Salicylate gel about half hour before meals. Avoid spicy foods.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. R. A. Singh, Emergency Medicine Specialist
