What Causes Recurring Sharp Pain In Lower Abdomen?

I have been having this sharp, burning pain on my lower, right abdomen kind of where my hip and c-section scar is located. Sometimes it hurts to walk when the pain flares. It usually goes away after 30 minutes. Pain comes on when I am lying on my right side or straining for whatever reason. I thought maybe it could be a hernia, but when I lie flat, I don t feel a lump or anything out of the ordinary. Any suggestions on what it could be? This has been happening off and on for years.
