Hello,

How long do you treat with kidney disease medicine? You are using Prednisone and anti rejection medication, they are immuno-supressive medicine (make your immune system low) so you are easily to get opportunistic infection such as bacteria, virus, fungi, or protozoa. Ringworm is a common skin infection that is caused by fungus. Some forms of ringworm can be treated with non-prescription (over the counter) like anti-fungal creams, lotion or powder.

However, other forms of ringworm need treatment with prescription anti-fungal medicine. I don't know what form of treatment for ringworm you did in the past that is not effective. But you should go to discuss with your doctor who is taking care of your kidney disease to give you the right prescription for your condition. Because anti-fungal medicine can cause your kidney to worsen if you use it without checking your kidney function test.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
