What Causes Recurring Radiating Pain From Lower Abdomen?

Lately, approx within the last month, I ve been feeling a slight pain also could be described as a chill , which appears to start in the lower abdomen and radiate upwards in an indistinct series of shock-like waves . They are of short duration and I ve never experienced before anything similar. I am 75 and in reasonably good hrealth. i see my Dr every 3 month. Not due until June.
