What Causes Recurring Mid Cycle Vaginal Discharge?

my 16yr old daughter will have her period then about 2 wks later bleed like dark brown blood, then 2wks later she will start her period, then this starts over again, im trying to find an ob/gyn in the powdersville sc or greenville sc area. but mostly what would cause this? thank you

Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Noramlly in few females especially those who just start with menarche sometimes there is ovulation bleed.
That means when one of the ovary ovulates causing release of the egg, there is slight bleed during that time which causes spotting in mid cycle.
But it is normal in some females so nothing to worry about it.
If the bleeding persists then you can consult your obgy doctor.
