What Causes Recurring Low Grade Fever With Diarrhea?

I have been having a low grade fever (99-100) for the last week and a half with intermittent diarrhea. The diarrhea has had some mucus in it. I will have a bad bout, then feel better for a day or so including temperature normalizing, then it flares up again. I am on my 4th bout. Is there something I can take (pepto, etc.) that can help? I do not have a headache, sore throat, etc., although I do have some congestion, I believe due to allergies.
