What Causes Recurring Fluttering Sensation In The Stomach With Shortness Of Breath?

I get a fluttering in my stomach almost like it s my heartbeat. I just comes and goes. I ll be fine and then it will come over me. My face gets hot, and I experience a shortness of breath. I sleep fine, my appetite is great, no weigh fluctuation, nothing wrong in the bathroom. It s been about four months. Doesn t get worse, doesn t get better. Any ideas?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I suppose this fluttering sensation in the stomach like heartbeat may be caused by palpations you may be having recently.

I suggest you do an ECG to check heart rhythm.

You may be suffering from tachycardia.

Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
