What Causes Recurring Elevation In BP Levels With Sleep Disorders?

My husband is 6 3, 265 lbs, 37 yo, works as hospital ER security supervisor. He was sent home from work after BP of 192/107. Second time this has happened in a year. Suffers from sleep problems he has not consulted a doctor about. I have an appointment with a physician for him on Monday. Do I need to send him to urgent care sooner?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If he is not having any symptoms related to complications of high blood pressure then he can wait until his appointment.

Concerning symptoms include: chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, dizziness, loss of consciousness, blurred vision, headaches

If he is experiencing any of the above or any symptoms he is concerned about, then he should be seen urgently.

I hope this helps
