What Causes Recurring Dizzy Spells And Lightheadedness?
Hi, I am a 45 year old male. I first experienced a major dizzy spell about five years ago which my doctor struck up to severe dehydration and/or virtigo. I saw a specialist for virtogo and it was concluded that I did not have it. Since that time, I have experienced one to two major dizzy spells per year, usually one in the fall and one in the early spring. I feel like to room is spinning and all I can do is lie down to control it. It usually goes away after a couple of hours. A year and a half ago, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure. I continue to have some light headiness but I have gone without a major dizzy spell in over 14 months. My blood pressure is controlled by a small dose water pill and my readings are around 130/90 on a regular basis. I am still not feeling 100% as I still get some light headiness. Any thoughts?
