What Causes Recurring Coughing Bout With Nodules On Throat?

I am a female of 64 yrs of age and I have three nodules in my throat that do not seem to be effecting my thyroid and I was told that they were small and my insurance may not pay to do a biopsy. I m concerned because I ve recently started to cough uncontrollably, unable to stop but eventually it does pass. This occurs at all times of the day and night. Shortly after my cough episode, I will produce clear mucous. Should I be concerned about this? I reside in Las Vegas, NV and it is so hard to get an appt. with a Doctor. Thank you for your time. Hello,

I think you should get evaluated as soon as possible. A biopsy of the nodules is needed and also throat examination.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
