What Causes Recurring Bumps On Knee?

I have these weird skin colored bumps on my knee that come and go throughout the week. They do not itch and they only appear to be on my right knee. I am involved in track but nothing ever rubs up against my knee while running. What could these small bumps be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

It sounds to me like molluscum contagiosum and in majority of cases this subsides on its own within about 3 months time. But if at all it is causing some amount of discomfort for you then I would recommend a doctors visit who would help by either removing them on the spot or provide you with medication either oral (cimetidine) or topical (salicyclic acid, trey onion, etc.).

Best wishes.
