What Causes Recurring Abdominal Pain, Headache And Vomiting In A Child?

My son has this episode every 4-5 months. He complains about a headache and tummy ache during the night. The next day feels fine. Then the following night he wakes up complains about a head ache and tummy ache and starts to vomit. He vomits usually twice within a couple of hours and then he s fine like nothing happened. Just curious why this same thing happens every few months.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

How old is he? It sounds like the occasional harmless stomach virus. If he seems sick and lethargic, you should take him to the doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Anders Mark Christensen, General Surgeon
