What Causes Recurrent Vomiting And Elevated Blood Pressure Levels?

Hi, I was recently in the hospital for vomiting and during my stay a endoscopy was preformed to find the source of my vomiting. In the recovery room my blood pressure was 200/117. They continued to monitor my blood pressure but it never returned to normal nor did they find the source of my vomiting. I have a follow up appointment next week but I have continued to monitor my blood pressure at home with and electronic machine from Walgreens. Its been ranging 141/87 to 178/92, should this concern me or should I just wait for my follow up appointment.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Maybe the vomiting was due to the high blood pressure because this is known to happen. Did they give you any drugs for high blood pressure. Maybe they will give you in this appointment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
