Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that toothache can be due to causes like deep decay in the tooth, tooth crack or fracture also known as Cracked tooth syndrome etc..

Many a times in acute conditions the x ray is not diagnostic and is unable to shown any definitive pathological changes..
While fine cracks can be missed out in the x rays and might need different
x-rays from different angulations..

If the pain is confined to a single tooth then the pain is not probably a neuralgic pain and is due to pathologies related to tooth..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get other x ray done with changed angulations for confirmation..
Once the diagnosis is confirmed then you need to get a root canal treatment or extraction of the tooth done for permanent solution..

As of now you can take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen or higher painkiller like Tramadol..
Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
