What Causes Recurrent Reflux And Severe Regurgitation Despite Taking Medication?
Hello My sons is one month old. He suffers from reflux and severe regurgitation (every time, all yhe bottle). I tried the novalac AR but he did not tolerate it. I tried also the novalac AR digest. First it was a miracle . After few days too much colic and the regurgitation is back like before.. What can i do? Thank you for your help
Sometimes, it happens for some babies to suffer reflux, especially on bottle feeding. This is especially true if they rush and drink milk very fast. In this way, he is also swallowing air causing bloating.
You can use nipples mimicking breast, so less air is getting inside your baby stomach. If you are also breast feeding, should check your milk, test for candida overgrowth. Try not to change his position too quickly after feeding. Let him burp after each feeding.
Try to raise his head from shoulders and put on a side when laying down (left side will help).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini
