What Causes Recurrent Pain Radiating From The Ankle To The Calf?

hi, my husband said he was experiencing hot pains that traveled from ankle to mid calf. Then back. They were reoccuring. He expresses that the heat was intense. We know he has occasional bouts with gout. He is currently on no medications and is in good health.

Hello,

Recurrent pain in ankle to calf may be due to restless leg syndrome or hypokalemia or anxiety neurosis or calf muscle spasm or anemia or peripheral vascular disease. Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is. Get it done color Doppler, blood uric acid, hemoglobin, serum electrolytes; then consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query.
Regards,
