What Causes Recurrent Pain In The Lower Back And Groin After A Hernia Surgery?

I had femorial hernia surgery 3 years ago.For the last six months I have been experiencing lower back pain, groin pain and pain in the area of the surgery. Is it possible that the mesh may have detached and that is what is causing the pain. I have a high pain tolerance but today has been hard.

HI
Well come to HCM
Your query and concern highly appreciated, I had gone through the history given here, your query is really matter of concern, if this is the mesh is there then it gives lot of pain and it is the common complaint or say post operation complication I have seen many patients coming to me with this complaint.
The pain condition can be managed with NSAID, it takes some time to come around along this part of infection need to be ruled out, some time mesh has to be taken out.
In my opinion better to have a word with surgeon or discuss this, you can even go for second opinion try Ibuprofen with Acetaminophen three times in day in case of infection antibiotic can be tried.

hope this information helps.
