General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for your question in HCM.
Pain or discomfort in right lower chest or right upper abdomen, burning sensation or uneasiness around the rib cage, breathlessness indicates condition related to Liver, upper gastro- intestinal tract, Gall bladder. In Cardiac pathology or if it is related to heart , the pain becomes more prominent on the left side and it radiates towards shoulder and arm. But according to your symptoms and history as you have said it occurs after food, it is very likely to be acid peptic disorder. Avoid the food which is causing trouble like spicy, oily diet, too much consumption of caffeine, alcohol, smoking.
Drink plenty of oral fluids.
Regularise your meal timings.
Taking Antacid half an hour before food, simethicone or sucralfate suspension syrup after food might help in reducing the pain and discomfort. However it is better to rule out other causes like Fatty liver, Gall bladder infection or Gall bladder stone by doing Ultrasound abdomen and ECG for any Cardiac pathology.
