What Causes Recurrent Migraines Despite Taking Tylenol, Profen And Excedrin?

Hello. So I have been having migraines frequently, really really badly. I have tried everything from home remedies to medicine. The medicine i have taken to try to ease the pain are aleve, asprin, tylenol, ib profen, Excedrin, advil, and really strong neproxen. One example of one of my migraines is when i was at fastpitch practice. It was in the beginning when i started to feel the pain. It normally starts around my eyebrow then moves all around my head and neck. But anyway, when i first felt the pain i thought i could go on but i was wrong. Everything got worse. I lost all vision in one eye, and i overdosed on medicine becaus the pain was so unbearable. I didnt go to the hospital though. That migraine lasted for about a week sadly. My parents think that i need glasses but we dont know for sure. I went to my normal doctor and he hasnt done anything abou it. I dont know what to do. The worst thing is that i have a migraine right now. What do i do. Please help.

Psychologist 's  Response
Hello,

Migraine is a headache of varying intensity, often accompanied by nausea and sensitivity to light and sound. Triggers include hormonal changes, certain food and drink, stress and exercise.

Instead of focusing on medicines, you should prepare a log about your living style, eating habit and stress and anxiety. You should, of course, check your eyesight and if required, you should use spectacle.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
