Hello,

I think that you might suffer from the simplest form of migraine (International Headache Society) because the headache lasts from several hours to three days, it is unilateral, it aggravates with physical activity, it is pulsating and of moderate intensity. The trigger in your case could be the stress you are experiencing about your father's condition.

Imaging examinations are not usually indicated to evaluate migraine as the findings are not specific. Therefore, you have to manage the headache using first the usual medicament (for example, aspiring, ibuprofen, naproxen, etcetera.), in case you do not have gastrointestinal problems.

If needed, Triptans could be used to alleviate the pain, following your doctor's advice on doses. Please, not that you have to take such medicine early (when you first feel that headache is coming) because they are ineffective if the headache is already fully developed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ervin Toçi
